........... THIS WEEKS PHOTO-DIARY........

This is what we've been doing this week: 24th - 28th November 2008

NOTE: Next weeks diary will be updated on THURSDAY 4th December,
as Martyn is having the Friday off. Tune in early,Folks!!!!!!!!

PATTERN MAKING - DARREN

We've often shown Darren stirring a pot of rubber in these hallowed electronic pages, so we thought we'd show you WHAT he's stirring in.

This is the catalyst agent that causes the rubber to start curing. It's carefully measured out on micrometer scales. 1% of the rubber weight is all that's needed.

PATTERN MAKING -DARREN

Too little and it doesn't cure leaving a sticky, gloopy mess.

Too much and the rubber cures but goes 'Oily' to the touch.

PATTERN MAKING - MR. P

Pinker is re-soldering a tail light onto a brass master using a hot flame.

SMALL PARTS CASTING - IAN

Through the looking glass!!!

A dashboard for the BC 004.

AT THE SAME TIME !!!!!

FETTLING - JASON

New assembler J has been drafted in to help clean up the CSV 09.

More 'Masking Tape Plasters' helping to protect his fingers.

FETTLING - LITTLE ANDY

Andy is using the magnifying glass to spot all of the defects that need sanding off.

FINAL ASSEMBLY - JASON

Jason managed to finish these LDM 67's before being dragged down to the dungeon.....

...... er, I mean the Casting room.

FINAL ASSEMBLY - ANGIE

These BRK 149's have plating detail that goes the whole way around the car.

It's difficult to put on but it looks good when they're finished.

PAINT ROOM - TIM

DON'T PANIC!!!!!

The CSV 08's will be a different colour when they're done.

This is the primer colour!!!!

PAINT ROOM

Apparently the BC 005 will be this colour!

PAINT ROOM - BOB

Bob is using a rubber mask to paint the LDM 68.

The roof has already been sprayed Matt Black, the rubber mask keeps the red paint off of it.

WELCOME BACK TO 1979.

This Ford Cortina Mk IV Ghia Estate looks

'The Business'.

Just the window to go now.

CLEAN SWEEP

I wasn't sure if there would be any space left for this picture of Neil performing the 'Friday-Clean'

But as it turns out, there was

'Dust' enough 'Broom' for it

:o)
