PATTERN MAKING - DARREN
Darren has made one half of a mould for the Willys Jeepster.
He's now using Vaseline as a barrier, this is to stop the other half of the mould sticking/bonding to this half when it's poured.
Otherwise we'd have a lovely master encased in a solid block of rubber.
So this week:
Darren's Willys' covered in Vaseline

Pinker is reworking the BRK 152 into the BRK 162.

A bit extreme, but if you want a soft top version then it has to be done.

SMALL PARTS CASTING - NICK
These are BRK 161 baseplates still attached to their spru.
-
FETTLING - RICH
Richy has filled any imperfections on these BC 010's and will now begin sanding them.
It may look like a lot of filler but remember that our models are hand-cast in a very traditional way. They aren't machined and laser-smoothed like other mass produced models.
It takes longer but we think you'll agree that it's worth it !!!!!!
Right !?!

PLATING CASTING - ANDY
