Holly and Ivy are traditional at Xmas, Right????
This will be the last Web Diary for this year as there is no way that I'm uploading pictures for you on Christmas Day.
I love the job, but not THAT much!!!!
Enjoy, Thanks for all of your support over the past year, next year is shaping up to be another good one for all of our collectors with some really nice models being released.
See you in 2010!!!!

PATTERN MAKING - DARREN
Darren has the BC 011 brass master held tightly and his hand pressed against the bench for stability.
He's performing some very precise sanding and doesn't want to slip.
-
PATTERN MAKING - Mr. P
Mr. P is out of his comfort zone at the moment.
He's working on a model from the BROOKLIN range - shock, gasp, surprise etc.
This is the BRK 162 which he's been changing to a convertible.
-
SMALL PARTS CASTING - IAN
Ian is multi-tasking today.
He's casting, listening to music and talking on the phone.
Only one of these is meant to be done during work hours,
can you guess which one?
-
SMALL PARTS CASTING - ANDY
Andy is helping out with the small parts this week.
These are BC 010 rear seats.
Very neat, Andy.
-
PLATING CASTING - DAVE
Dave is busy with the LDM 67 axles.
-
FETTLING - LITTLE ANDY
The new BC 010 bodies are being prepared for spraying.
-
SMALL PARTS SPRAYING - NICK
This is Nick's first Xmas here at Brooklin Models and when this picture was taken he was looking forward to the meal/drinking session.
These IPV 35 dash-boards will be ok though as he's stone-cold sober at the moment.
-
PAINT ROOM - TIM
Some of those BC 010 bodies have made it up to the paint room already.
-
PAINT ROOM - BOB
You can see the level of effort and masking that goes into making these LDM 76's look good in 2-tone colours. -
BODY CASTING - BIG ANDY
Andy is casting Willys' today.
You can see some of the gates necessary to get the metal to flow to every part of the mould.
This metal, including the large block in the centre will get put straight back into the smelting pot so there is no waste.
It's important to get the flow of metal right by using these gates.......
Otherwise we'd end up with deformed Willys'.
-
FINAL ASSEMBLYY - ANGIE
We're ever so festive here at BM !!!!!
-
FINAL ASSEMBLY - ANGIE
Angie is working on the IPV 35.
-
FINAL ASSEMBLY
This is the IPV 35 with as many plated components glued on as was available.
The rest are still being plated.
