Brooklin Staff Custom Models

Below are photographs of the various models built by the Brooklin staff during our lunch breaks.

Most of these are standard models with different paint finishes but some have been heavily modified.

1959 Mercury Commuter
"Doing a Ghostbusters Thing"

This is a standard Mercury commuter with the wings from a BRK 67 Chrysler Imperial grafted on. Several other bits from Martyn's bits-box were used to make the roof equipment, and two pieces of Bass guitar string for the aerials.


1936 Stout Scarab
"Doing the Surfing Thing"

This Scarab has been given a two-tone paint-job. Extra details include Rod wheels, extra tail lights, Front mounted spare wheel, wipers, and a Rod exhaust. The front bumper has also been modified.


1969 Plymouth GTX
"Doing the Gone in 60 Seconds Thing"

A standard body with a Gun Metal paint finish complete with two Black stipes up the bonnet, over the roof and down the boot. It has side exhausts, Rod wheels and the GTX badge has been highlighted in silver.


1959 Mercury Commuter
"Doing the Munsters Thing"

Roof removed, lowered front-end, flame paint-job, side exhausts, Rod wheels, Devil-Red headlight eyes, skull hood ornament, skeleton driver and coffin in the back complete with Undead Vampire.


1967 Ford Mustang
"Doing the Flame Thing"

Standard Mustang body but with all the bumpers and trim finished in chrome. Oh, and that fantastic paint-job.


1952 Ford Ranger
"Doing the Mild Custom Thing"

Standard body, metallic blue paint, Rod wheels, side exhausts and Bass guitar string for the aerial (again)


1946 Loewy Lincoln
"with extra bits"

This was a dealer special has been sprayed in a different colour. Extra details include new hubs, door and boot handles, door and boot hinges hinges and the pram-irons on the side of the roof.


1948 Austin Atlantic
"Doing a Cutom Thing"

Slightly lowered in height with Rod wheels and a metallic blue finish.


Dodge Truck
"Doing a Tow Truck Thing"

Two Tone paint, a towing frame and a very famous figure mounted on the roof.


1948 Austin Atlantic
"Doing a Cutom Thing"

One for the ladies. Cool pink with a black interior.


1955 Chevy Nomad
"Doing a Rally Thing"

A new paint job, Race decals and a fine spray of brown paint to simulate mud.


1953 Buick Skylark
"Doing the Limo Thing"

Two Tone paint job with a chromed side strip.


1956 Ford Mainline

Re-spray, decals galore and an interior rollcage.


1965 Bedford CA Van

Traditional paint finish, Police decals, siren on the roof and the all important Police sign.
